Set on Mughwango Hill in the Meru National Park and almost invisible to the naked eye, Elsa’s Kopje blends perfectly into its environment. All eight cottages have magnificent views overlooking the Meru plains and are unique in design, built using natural local materials. From the infinity pool outside the main dining area you can see for miles over the Meru plains. Guests have the whole of Loisaba sanctuary to themselves. Currently Elsia’s Kopje is the only fully operating lodge in Meru National Park, allowing the guests the true privilege of being almost entirely alone with wildlife. You will be able to see and experience the land and animals that inspired George Adamson to settle here and strive to protect big cats. Participate in bush walks, fishing, cultural visits as well as day and night game drives with your guide. Loisaba is an adventure playground for adults and the only barrier is in your imagination. Horse ride and you truly feel at one with nature and the wild life – following giraffes up close and spotting wild dogs in the distance - amazing. Elsa’s Kopje has a bar, a lounge and a dining area. Expect a set daily menu made from fresh seasonal produce purchased from local farmers or grown on Elsa’s Kopje’s own small vegetable and herb garden. Everything is freshly cooked daily on the premises even the bread, biscuits and crackers. You will be served exquisite contemporary Italian cuisine influenced by the owner’s grandmother. At Loisaba you will find communal meal times at the lodge although private dinners are available on request. Then chill out in the wonderful cosy and comfortable sitting area whilst reflecting on the day’s adventures.
